David - A Man After God's Own Heart
David - a shepherd, soldier, poet, musician, king and
one of the great heroes of Biblical literature. The one person
described as 'a man after God's own heart'. His
life offers hope to us all. It shows us that devotion doesn't mean
perfection - that God loves us despite our weaknesses and can do
extraordinary things through ordinary people who are devoted to Him. This remarkable story also provides glimpses of a greater Shepherd King - 'the root and offspring of David' - Jesus Christ.
